How does this emerald-cut diamond’s light performance and mirror hall effect look? Unsure about the lighting

Hi everyone, I’m considering a diamond and I noticed that in the provided photos/videos the lighting doesn’t seem to be straight-on. Because of that, I’m not sure how to judge the mirror hall effect and overall light performance.

I’ll attach the photos along with the ASET and IdealScope images in the comments. Could anyone with experience help me evaluate:

  • Whether the mirror hall effect is clear and symmetrical
  • How the ASET/IdealScope results translate to real-life performance under daylight
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I doubt that stone will have a hall of mirrors or an infinity effect - it will just be blindingly brilliant!

Do you have a video? Ideally, I would think you would want to see some steps "on" and some steps "off" at the same time
so you get the stepping effect.

All the steps in the Aset/Ideal scope images are "on", which might* mean that a fair amount of them turn "off" at the same time.
(stone may go too dark). We really need a video to see what the stone does as it moves.

Like @Garry H (Cut Nut) said, it does look like it would be a very bright stone! Garry is the expert!

Light performance images are challenging to interpret for many fancy shapes, especially if they haven't been staged well. Clearly, the stone will be returning a high volume of high angle overhead light which is usually the brightest light in the environment. But the lack of contrast gives one pause. There is virtually none showing in the IdealScope (black), and very little showing in the ASET. However, there is contrast showing in the photo. (The right amount of contrast in the right distribution is necessary for optimal scintillation). This indicates to me that the staging is inconsistent. A high quality video would probably help put everything together.

There is a very high chance its going to dance like crazy but the only way to know for sure is a video or even better seeing it in person.
I'm not worried about the ASET not showing contrast, the real world is not a uniform red blob.

@tyty333 nailed it above.
There is a way to cut them that gives a very red ASET but less than stellar real world performance.

There is a high probability its a good one that will knock your socks off.
Its never 100% until seen in person but the indications are there.

Thank you! When I receive photos from the seller, I will continue posting here! Appreciated!
