Can you post the numbers from the cert? I'm having a hard time reading them.

I think it says it's an I color? I's can show some tint...

How is the price for that stone - 17,500?

Compare with prices at some of the online vendors- I had a quick look at James Allan, there are a few with similar specs around the $15-16K mark.

That stone definitely looks yellow. It looks rather low quality. Also the specs are not good.

Going down by just a little in carat size (we're talking about a few tenths of a carat here), and you can get excellent specs, in the colorless range, VS. What you got there is not a good buy at all.

Would you mind posting some GIA stones that would meet what you just described? Seems to me to be HIGHLY unlikely to get stones in the colorless range with VS clarity close to the 2 carat mark with ideal proportions. The numbers on this stone look pretty good to me, aside from being a little deep to make the 2c mark I would presume.

Stone scores a 1.7 on the HCA and is GIA-certed I-color.

What makes you think the stone is 'low quality' and the 'specs are not good'?

You will need to substantiate those types of statements, if you're going to make them.

Beware of first time posters giving opinion as fact.

I agree with RockyR.... stone isn't "low quality" just because its a 62.6 & not capped off at 62.4. Will face up a bit smaller than a stone with a shallower depth no doubt. I think the stone looks tinted but perhaps is the lighting? I have a 2.47 J & to me its tinted. Can you find better? Perhaps. Are you in a hurry? Are you stuck on that stone? Overall, on numbers alone, its ok. But without further analysis, its "ok". If the tint bothers you, then the other option is to go lower on clarity & higher on colour. An idea to think about. =)

Shoot..didnt realize stone was an SI-2. Ok, other option, to find one with Medium Fluoro. ;-) Fluoro on lower coloured diamonds is a good thing. ;))
