If you are worried about what eyeclean means...ask him from how far away it is before he sees the inclusions (he should respond with "a foot" or "3 inches" or "1 inch") see if that reassures you.

As to the two stones, they have slightly different patterns so its whichever one you prefer. The 1.05 one has more direct light return all over the stone and less leakage, so I''d probably pick that one. But both are great stones!

As the all medium (vs thin to medium) option, it also may have a modest girdle advantage.

I dont understand why a SI2 is so expensive? I''ve been looking at whiteflash and they have ones that are vs1 or better for the same money or just a few hundred more? All are 5 stars..what''s the difference?

And actually, there were a few more for better prices elsewhere. I think Whiteflash is one of the more expensive that I''ve found honestly. Not sure why as I''m a buying newb when it comes to diamonds. Educated on here and other sites, I am wondering like many others in ''my circle'' have stated, that I will not notice much if an difference between a ''maul'' diamond and a whiteflash.

I recently saw one that a girl got from whiteflash that was a princess and cost her around 8k for 1 car. I didn''t really see much of a difference if any at all?

What am I missing here?

Sincraft, what you're missing is accurate information, it seems.

Please note that the link you gave points to a stone that is VVS2, not SI2. That level of clarity rating has a huge impact on stone price.

If there are a few more for better prices, I'd make sure you know for sure what the properties of the stones are. Compare apples to apples, yanno?
At least as best as you can.......keep in mind that fancies are about so much more than just the #s.

1 ct. for $8k? For what? That could be a really good price depending on the color/clarity/cut......you don't given enough information to really derive anything meaningful.

If you don't see much of a difference to your eye, then perhaps you don't require as well-cut a stone and can save a bit of coin. Not everyone is a fan of finer goods.

By way of example, it would be pointless for me to spend $100 on a bottle of wine when I can't really taste much of a difference between that and a $10 bottle. However, just because my palate isn't refined enough to distinguish the difference doesn't mean there isn't one.

Shop in whatever range you're comfortable in. I know it's wasted money for me to spend on a D when I can't appreciate the color difference between a D and a G. Similarly, if you can't see differences between top-make stones and non-top makes, then I'd agree that perhaps you'd be thrilled with the value of a non-top make option.

I can comment on the rocks itself because i am still very much a newbie, but in terms of whether you can trust whiteflash, I have no doubt they are very trustworthy.

When they say eyeclean, you can ask how far away its eye clean from, when i got my earrings Sheerah from whiteflash actually gave me a distance that the rock is eye clean from (one of mine is an SI1)

my first experience was more than perfect and I have no doubt that we will be getting our wedding bands from them too. So dont worry about buying from them at all.
