I'm helping a buddy choose a diamond for an e-ring. We've narrowed the choice down to one.

The stats are: Triple EX, AGS 0
Depth: 61.8
Table: 55.4
Crown Angle: 34.8
Pav Angle: 40.7

The pic of the stone and the idealscope image looks pretty good to me but the last thing is whether this is a true H&A diamond so I figured I'd ask the experts here. I've attached an image of the hearts. Thoughts?

Many thanks! He's ready to pull the trigger if this looks good.

Ack! I tried to edit my first post but couldn''t.

Anyhoo, I wanted to add that, for some reason, the "triangles" (for lack of a more accurate term) under the hearts do not look symmetrical all the way around to me. Am I delusional? If not, is it a problem?

I don''t think you are delusional. I see slight variation but I''m not an expert.

I''m curious about how this gets answered too!

I hope it works out in your favor.

Good luck!

Does not look like it should pass as a H&A, one heart has a deep cleft and slightly non-symm too. Ask the vendor to take another hearts image to confirm if this is an error in the image taking or actual problem or just look for another stone.

Ditto SC. If the image is accurate, I wouldn''t consider it a true H&A.

Hi Panda,

Its what I would call near h&a. You could try another hearts image to see if it is this or it is possible the image is accurately representing the cut precision.

Thanks for your thoughts! I told my buddy to take a pass if he wanted a true H&A.
