Okay, I'd like unbiased opinions. So I'm not going to yet say what the clarity grading is marked at. I want to see if you all agree. It's a reputable store (but not local, so I can't see them in person but with a GREAT reputation & return policy, but I'm wondering if they might be overstating the gradings a bit.

Several questions...they are 1.5ct total (.75 each) for reference...

Is it just me or is the color a bit yellow? I'm wondering if they'd look quite yellow on the ear? Color guesses?

Is it just me or are the prongs quite prominent, more than is usual? Maybe a bit loose looking/sloppy?

What would you guess the clarity at? I'm not super picky-I just want something that looks clean to the naked eye.

Is it just me or do they not quite match as a set?

They are a good value from what I can tell. But just want some opinions?

They dont look like a very well matched pair to me. I'm not liking the look of that stone on the left. The faceting pattern
doesnt look that nice (and doesnt look like the other). They do look like they have a hint of color but thats hard to tell
on a computer. I would only buy these if the price were really good and you arent that picky. I would rather have a
smaller pair with nicer stones that had a trade-up option.

Hmmm, it looks like there is something going on with the stone on the left. Is it SI2 - I1?

Color, I will guess ~K (if graded by GIA).

BTW, I'm no expert, only an experienced layperson! lol

Let's see what the others say.

Anne

PS - I agree the prongs look a bit rustic. But then again on the ear that probably won't be noticeable.

Okay, one more thing...these are from the same seller and are a bit more expensive and slightly higher grading (but I'm not sure it's worth the difference-thoughts?). They are 1.45 vs 1.5.

What about these compared to the first ones? Thoughts?

The second pair looks much better to me. The left stone on that first pair just doesn't seem right for some reason.

Re: How do these earrings look to you? A bit yellow? Grading

Supposedly I1. I'm don't necessarily have a problem with I1 if it looks reasonably okay to the eye, but have some doubts about these.

I think the prongs look really weird, not like the usual prongs. I think there's a mismatch as well. Thought that was just me, glad it's not.

The colors are supposedly I/J but I'm thinking they're a bit yellow.

What about pair number 2 below? Thoughts...

They are supposed to be SI3 (but from my research here that's likely I1 at best) & color H or I.

I'm on a budget and I'd really like this size of stone but am unsure if these are the right ones.

Who is giving you the grades?

On round brilliant stones that size I would want a lab report.

The jeweler is grading them, I think.

Pass. At that size you need to find some with actual lab grades from a decent lab.

Re: How do these earrings look to you? A bit yellow? Grading

Pair #2 is the better pair but for RB, get GIA reports - especially at that size stone. If they were under .30, that wouldn't be provided, but over... yes, insist on them.

I don't think you are getting a great return on your money if you buy these. You have too many questions to be about to purchase diamond studs. I'd pass on these.

Re: How do these earrings look to you? A bit yellow? Grading

I know I don't want pair 1. I'm half considering pair 2 for $1,600. For that price could I do better, from what I'm finding I couldn't. At least in 1.50 ct (.75 ct each ear).

I think I'm going to ask for some more pictures.

I know I could get smaller stones of better quality but I'd like 1 ct min and really 1.5 total. I just want them to look nice on the ears not caring as much about scoping them. (No offense to those who do.)
