HOW DO PRICES IN ENGLAND COMPARE TO THE US

Its in my nature to be carefull with money but if i realy like something i will pay recently i started on a project to have my wedding band made and looked around nothing was available that i liked for a man so i had a ring made the ring had cost me £6500 in the end which is about $12000 and was wondering if any one would have an estimated idea what i would have paid in the us for such a ring in the uk the £6500 was cheap some shops wand more than that for the stone. please let me know your thoughts i find it realy interesting and realy enjoy being a member of ps my ring details are as follows some shops here wanted £14000 i got this help with the help of freinds

Well doing a quick search all I could find was a VS2 F color excellent cut for around $6800 not including the setting.
If you are happy w/your ring I wouldn''t second guess myself. DeBeers is up there with Tiffany''s so it will be more expensive.

I live in Ireland and I find that prices are much more competitive in the states, even without the currency change. But as Skippy said, Debeers will be much pricier. Your ring is cool by the way!!

i went to the debbers store theY want £8000 FOR THE SAME STONE IN A NORMAL SETTING THE SAME AT TIFFANYS WHEN I SHOWNED THEM MY MASSIVE SETTING THAT WAS 48GRAMS THEY WERE STUNNED
