I doubt this is wrong since I see so many other people doing it on here, but how do I save a photo from a website to my wish list folder on my desktop? I usually right click, and save as...but when I am right clicking a pop up box comes up and says "COPYRIGHT by Catalogue".

The site I am talking about is of a certain popular pave artiste on pricescope. I can''t remember running into this problem with other sites. But I know it is able to be done since I see other people posting his pictures.

Thanks

you can save it by doing a screen shot. do you have a mac or PC?

Mrssalvo - I have a PC...

just do a print screen then, you should have a print scrn button on your keyboard. then paste it in a word, or one of the photo editors you have.

should work. :P

Can you right click and select "save picture as"?

ellen, sparkle asked the question because the pics are right protected so she cannot save it. :P

Stonecold...ok, I did "PRINTSCREEN" but it won''t let me save to my folder (the "paste" option is greyed out) but it will let me save to a word document. The only problem is it saves the entire screen (web address, bookmarks, all my open tabs, etc...in other words, the screen) and I can barely see the picture. Any tips so I get just the ring picture and it is bigger? thanks.

Ellen - what stonecold said, haha. Yep, I usually do "save as" but it won''t let me use that option since it is copyrighted. I thought I was going insane.

Do the printscreen option again but make sure you''ve got the biggest picture of the ring in the screen shot that you want.

Do you have Paint? If you''re using a Microsoft package you can find it by pressing Start then All Programmes, then Accessories and it should be in there. You can then copy the printscreen into that. Crop the picture until you''ve just got the ring in view, copy and paste it into a new Paint document and then save as a jpeg file into the folder of your choice.

Hope that helps.

Do you have any photo editor type program? I think windows is the ms-paint? You should be able to paste it there as a photo and edit there. With word, just click on the photo, there should be a edit picture where you can change the boundary, scale it etc. Or clikc the photo, there should be 9 small boxes around the edge of the pic, that when you placeyour cursor on it, it change into a directional arrow, you can drag that to change the size of the pic too.

Or on firefox, you can hold down the ctrl buttom and scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in the pic before printing the screen, that should give you a larger pic. Not sure if that works on other browers..

see if these works... :P

based on the other responses it would have been way easier on a mac

i hope you can figure it out.

which ring is it, maybe someone has posted it here on PS already?

Can you just click and drag it to the desktop? I''m on a Mac but I''ll try it on our pc later..

Oh do I feel silly now...Lovingdiamonds and stonecold - I was unable to figure your tips out (but I am 100% sure it is because of me, not because of your helpful tips since I am computer illiterate).

Angeline, yep, I can just click and drag and it works! So for any other computer illiterate PC owners, that works and is so easy. I swear I have been trying to figure this out over a week now and started searching for others who posted the rings I was interested in from his site but that was taking too long.

Thanks for everyone''s help!

OK, I am ancient tech now... :P

Too used to the old ways of doing things, never even tried the drag and drop trick before... :p

Coolio! It would be sad not to be able to populate our wish lists!

Sometimes I can highlight and select these images and paste them into word and then save them as an image.
