Here's a diamond that I was looking at and I need to educated on reading the images. I think they look decent but I am still learning. I can spot poor looking images but when comparing these images to an ideal cut I get lost. I need to get educated on this because what may look good to me might be poor to you PS members. This diamond had excellent AGA/NAJA and HCA scores.

Besides the arrows being on the thin side and I like them on the thick side (personal preference). It looks great. But are these actual images or computer generated ones?

They are the actual images posted on the website for that diamond.

Here's a close up view of the diamond. You can see the inclusions.

Could you post a link to the lab report or the lab report number?

It's difficult to say if the stone will be eye clean or not. The image is blown up so large that inclusions look obvious, but once the size is reduced to 6.5mm what seems apparent now will be much more difficult to see. A gemologist viewing the stone in person will be in a much better position to determine it's eye cleanliness.

Today, I went online and learned a lot about IS and ASET images and how to read them. I am searching for the best e-ring and found that CUT is the most important when looking for a round diamond. I found that H&A vendors diamonds have the best cut diamonds and they will consistently beat a GIA excellent cut diamond. I thought that an excellent cut GIA diamond with an excellent HCA and AJA/NAJA scores would be enough until I compared their IS and ASET images with the H&A champions IS and ASET images. The GIA were good but could not beat the champions.

I decided it was time to pit the H&A champions against each other. I looked at 12 round diamonds from several different H&A vendors and three vendors came out at top. I then pitted those champs against each other. When it was over, one vendor rose to the top and is H&A champion. That vendor was the clear winner for my e-ring H&A diamond purchase. That H&A vendor had the tightest, brightest and sharpest IS and ASET images. That vendor in my book is the Champion of champions in H&A diamonds. :appl:

So just curious, which vendor/diamond did you select?
