Hello -
I am getting excited to put together the ring. The question is what to look for when matching sides stones...besides color...how much difference should I accept in the table, depth, mm - etc... HELP!!

Are you matching all 3 stones, or just talking about sides??

In either case, select stones near the same carat weight. Try to keep the diameters similar. That's what most people will notice and focus on. If you have similar diameters, minor variations in depth will not be noticible.

honestly I think it really depends on what sizes they are.

If you are talking .10c on each side then just focus on getting something that sparkles to match your center stone, same color, same clarity, or close.

But if you are talking larger, say... around .50c each, then the cut will be visible in stones of that size, so match it as much as possible to your center stone. I would also match color and keep clarity close, at least eye-clean.

I'm a stickler for 'symmetry' in terms of things matching and coordinating. It would drive me nuts to not have matching side stones etc. Even if its only in concept.

Good luck!
