hi, i posted one other time and yes kappa is for kkg. Thank to you all, i realized that I didn''t like the setting, i was just trying to choose an inexpensive halo ring.
anyway, i love this round halo setting. I have about $8000 to spend. i would like a 1 carat to 1.5 carat stone. Would this be possible with this setting? Is it better to have a halo setting done custom or to just buy one that is already made either from a store or online? Also, I have a jeweler close to my house that does custom work but he didn''t have anything bezel set in his store. Should I be worried he won''t be able to do something like this well? Last question, i think the picture is 1.8 carats, will it look bad with a smaller stone?

I would also appreciate any suggestions about pre-made rings that are low cost.

Thanks!

I couldn''t copy and paste the picture so here is the link.

You can''t get that setting and a 1-1.5 carat stone for $8k IMO, but you could probably come close depending on how willing you are to go down on color and clarity. That ring is a Tiffany replica made by Leon Mege, so if you want that ring exactly, you can call him:

Otherwise for some other options Beverly K has some gorgeous halo rings that are considerably cheaper, leaving you more money for the stone. Pearlman''s Jeweler''s has a ton of them on their website.

And I personally wouldn''t trust a random jeweler without seeing a LOT of examples of similar work for something this important.

Hi,

I think you could be within your budget but you cant be picky with the 4 c's. I took a look a www.whiteflash.com for you and there are many 1.00CT and over less than 6,000. The cut is not ACA but clarity is SI1 and color is H,I, or J.If your really okay with that then you can get over a 1.00 CT ering.

I found a 1.023
G Color
SI1 Clarity
WF rating is 5 stars for performance
6,494

Leaving you enough for even a platinum setting

If you want to stay in the VS clarity

I found a 1.02
G Color
VS2 Clarity
6,642

Take a look at the website and play around. The only advice I can give you is do not settle for something that you don't want.I made that mistake and it cost me. If What you truely want is more that 8,000 then please wait until you save up a little more money and be happy!!! Don't spend 8,000 a look down at your hand and dream about something else.It would be well worth the wait.

If you like unusual diamonds, this is a steal: a LM halo with a 1.54ct yellow rose cut (eyeclean), well under your budget at $5,900. Personally, I think it is gorgeous.
