Cushions can be more or less than the same carat round.
X factors are princesses with smallish clipped corners, so it has 8 sides.

Someone pasted this link in another thread and it is very helpful to print out. It has all the shapes with their carat weights and mm''s. If you print it, it should be life size.

Be careful with this because some of the fancy shapes can be quite off from the carat weight. It should be used by the MM measurements only, don''t really listen to the carat weights listed for fancies, they can vary so much.
There are no hard and fast rules, this question can only really have a concrete answer if comparing actual diamonds as cut qualities can vary and the resulting face up size, as Neat says they can vary so much. X Factor Princess are Whiteflash's exclusive brand and have clipped corners.Date: 10/9/2008 8:31:07 PM

What Lorelei says is right. There is a chart somewhere that shows similar proportions of stones and shapes based on ct. weight. I''m not sure where it is on the forum.

My next question: Do cushions seem to cost more than the other cuts (RB,princess in particular)? I know there are many other factors regarding pricing, but just as in general.

No. RB''s cost the most usually per carat.
