It’s called water spinach and I think only people from a certain geographical area knows what it is.

Did you make it using beancurd, or is the red some other sauce?

It's one of my favorites! I love it with fermented shrimp paste.

My family is lucky that we live in an area where the pale version with thicker stems is available:

@voce No beancurd used. The orange red thing is the sauce that I made myself; a mixture of shallots, dried prawns, garlic, and chilies. The recipe also calls for fermented shrimp paste too but I had to skip that since I don't have any.

@JPie I was lucky enough to be able to snag the thicker pale stemmed ones this week, hence I decided to cook it yesterday.

@chrono I think I'll make some Italian tonight to eat for lunch tomorrow :P2 .

I have to trash some chicken curry that's gone bad enough to give me food poisoning. I won't be posting pictures of that here. 8)

A friend started a cake baking business a couple of years ago. She does beautiful work that is also the best I have ever tasted. As luck would have it, she had a cake available today (booked through August so this was leftover batter from a big job). It was just what I had been wishing I had ordered for my graduation. I also got matching cupcakes to drop off for my family.

ETA wine glass for scale (and because it was also delicious). I did not eat the whole cake by myself! Much as I may have wanted to... :lickout:

One of friends makes homemade bread every few days, and I was the lucky recipient of this gorgeous rosemary garlic loaf yesterday. It was so delicious with Brie.....believe it or not, we ate it as a post dinner dessert with brie! So amazingly crusty and aromatic!

LOL great appetites think alike ! I made this today also--but added chicken as I don't eat pasta and used diced roma's instead of cherry tomatoes and added cream and fresh basil to top.

HI:

One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer.:lol-2:

No that isn't what's for supper; but was playing on the radio while stuffing chicken breasts with Reggiano, fresh basil and red pepper, and prosciutto. Baked yam and organic mixed green salad.

cheers--Sharon

We had friends over for afternoon tea on Thursday, I forgot to take photos of the lemon drizzle cupcakes, the banana and coconut cupcakes and the chocolate brownies I made

The only thing I did take a photo of were the lemon possets, (about 6,000,000 calories each) but hey ho! They were delicious :lickout:

With the easing of the lockdown here, we’re finding it easier to get home delivery slots. We’re sticking with those, and only ventured out twice to get the things I couldn’t get delivered. Had a big delivery of Scottish steaks this week, which’ll keep us going for a while.

I am SO craving a good cake right now!

My latest baking trials. They weren't perfect but DH was mighty impressed at least.

I've never been much for cooking or baking, but this quarantine pushed me to try a few. So far my favorite has been Castella. I don't have a good photo of it but I've been making it almost every other day because that's how quickly we (when I say we, I mean me) eat through them.
