how are prices now for diamonds and platinum?

im going to be purchasing my fiancees wedding band in the next 2 months but wanted to get an idea how prices are for platinum and diamonds... im guessing they are in a decline.. anyone notice a price decrease when purchasing jewelry recently?

Im in the Uk and ive been told they are both on the up but im not an expect just a buyer

Platinum prices have dropped, so a few people have seen reflections in that in the prices of their custom settings. But a lot of the cost in settings is the labor, so the drop isn''t hugely dramatic.
