I hope everyone is save in these areas that are going to be hit by the hurricane. I am in the northeast part of Houston and I am sure we will be fine. I hope everyone has gotten out safely and I hope no one''s wedding day was postponed due to this unforeseen event! Take care and I''ll see you PS''ers after we get power back (we haven''t lost it yet though!)

Stay safe redrose and everyone else. The ps''ers in houston are having a discussion on plans in the hangout section if anyone needs tips or just to vent.

Yeah I''m in southwest Houston and we just want this to get over already.

I know someone who knows someone who was supposed to have a 2:30 wedding tomorrow. Not gonna happen!!

Be safe all Houston area ps''ers! I''ll be thinking about you!

I''m in the East Central Tx area (right between Austin and College Station) and our engagement party is (or was) this Saturday. I haven''t cancelled it yet but it seems like everyone, even here, is freaking out a bit. We''re like 100 miles off the coast! We''ll get rain and maybe some strong winds (they''re predicting tropical storm force around 50 mph or something in my area) but nothing like Houston is going to get! I just told everyone that if it gets that bad I''ll cancel. I don''t want them traveling in that kind of weather but something tells me that it we won''t be getting much more than rain from this so...I''m waiting until tomorrow before sending out the final word. stinkin'' hurricane...Last time they predicted torrential rains in my area we didn''t even get a drop...who knows.

Stay safe everyone. I''ll be thinking of you guys.

Brandy, they''re predicting 100 percent chance of rain for College Station tomorrow, with heavy winds, and 90 percent chance of rain for Austin...

Yeah we had a recruiting event at A&M this Saturday and it was cancelled. I wouldn''t neccesarily cancel your engagement party, but just know that there will be storms.

I think the anticipation is getting to me! That, and the thought of being without power for any length of time...

Stay safe friends! My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Eh, that is whats killing me too....no power...canned foods! That and it seems like we prepare forever...and then we wait...and wait...and wait...

Yeah..it''s such a slow process! We had a tree break and fall a little earlier and it''s not even that windy yet! The tree was old and expected to break in this hurricane regardless though.

It''s strangley peaceful outside right now even with the wind picking up.

stay safe everyone...thinking of you all
