House or purple diamond engagement ring?

maybe they lived in a house that was valued at 1K?

Something tells me they got ripped off. Not sure what it is. Oh wait, it's the photo.

How is this news? Clearly just someone trolling online.

I don't need to point out that it's clearly not purple diamonds, right? lol

edit: I'm intrigued by this 'ring shaming' group though. No way I'd post my ring there for people to insult. Would you?

"Can you get the house back?"

Right, I think it’s clearly a troll. That ring can’t be real lol

I think the Walmart version of her ring is nicer but overpriced at $79.95. I do give her credit for a hilarious troll though.

I agree, this has got to be a joke!

Sold her house???. I wouldn't sell my toilet for that ring...:knockout::knockout:

Yeah I call BS

Hopefully someone leads her to PS so she can get a good appraiser to deliver her a reality check. :(2

Fake ring, fake story

the internet can be a pretty cruel place
nail polish remover is always a good option
those stories about bride shaming and ring shaming is just horrible
every bride deserves to be beautiful and have her ring admired
that's what i really like about this place
people are generouse with compliments or apply good old good manners of if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at

news agencies don't seem to care about fact checking in this day and age

I hope it’s a troll/fake news. So sad for her if it’s true.

:eek2:

this story made the NZ Herald (Auckland) paper today

Fake ring. No one would believe it is real. My granddaughter has more believable looking jewelry in her Barbie jewelry box.

I was thinking the same thing. My grandniece has picked out prettier rings at Claire’s.

I can’t imagine anyone selling their home to buy a ring. I would run from any guy who thought that was a good idea.

:lol::lol::lol:
I call shenanigans!

I was part of a “ring praising” group online (basically a Facebook group devoted to oohs and ahhhs when people got engaged) but it disappeared shortly after I joined.

I am the friend who squints extra hard at engagement pics to see the ring every time a friend gets engaged, but a lot of people think it’s tacky to post a ring pic. So I loved that a group existed to show off!

It looks like light amethyst. And it's ugly. Fake news. Cracks me up that so many agencies are picking it up. Serious eye roll.

Not to mentions it is at least 2 sizes too small and cutting off the circulation in her finger. Hello, if you had a diamond worth that much would you take a pic with that awful manicure.

Those aren't diamonds, purple or otherwise and that ring didn't cost the price of a house. But for $25 she could get a manicure for heavens sake. The ring itself is hideous.

Even if the ring was gorgeous if I had to choose one it would always be my house/home.

A home is a home wherever we go.
A ring is a(n) (often pretty) thing
provides no shelter though...

House over jewellery for me.

And that ring is not to my taste, whatever the price!

DK :rolleyes2:

They either got ripped off by a store on wheels or it’s a scam on their part. I also would pick my house over any bling..and I LOVE bling...

Do a search, I recently found another group with that same name. I look to oooh and ahhhh, too! :)
