To brush your teeth

Mid way through I decided that I did not want a poll, but it wouldn''t let me get rid of it. Anyway, Hot or Cold?

DH always usesd hot and I thought that was odd, until this winter when my hand was so cold from rinsing the brush with cold that I am officially a hot brusher. I think I will go back to cold come summer.

Cold. Sometimes I accidentally use hot and *really* dislike it when that happens! So I stick with cold water for brushing teeth.

Cold

I don''t like the taste of toothpaste, cold water numbs it out

I''ve never thought to brush my teeth using warm or hot water.

Lukewarm to warm. When you get older you''ll know why.

Oddly brushing with cold water doesn''t bother my sensitive teeth. I tend to use cold as it accentuates the minty clean feeling you get when you brush.

Only a couple posts, but the results are what I was thinkning. We are weirdos!

This is what hubby told me. When you wash dishes you do it with hot. Hot water works better.

Ditto. I hate it when the last person to use the faucet used hot water and I forget to let the cold run just a bit before brushing my teeth.

luke warm for me

Lukewarm for me, cold for BF. I don''t think I have particularly sensitive teeth (certainly not with cold drinks and stuff) but cold water while brushing...brrrr (and ouch!)

Cold.

hm, never really thought about it. I use whatever comes out! It''s usually cold as I don''t let it run to get warm just to rinse my mouth, but if it''s already warm/hot, I''m okay with it!

Cold in summer, warm in winter.

Refreshing is nice, but a freezing mouth is nobody''s friend!

I brush and rinse using cold, but then I rinse my toothbrush under scalding hot water.

You''re susposed to use water?.....

Here I thought you were to use your favorite alcoholic beverage....

ps: So am I kidding or not?

cold watta!

Warm.

I use warm water (not too warm) in the winter so it won''t freeze my hands, but cooler water in the summer when it''s hot out.

Cold! It seems more refreshing.

Luke warm water for me, My teeth became very sensitive after getting veneers..

Cold, for sure!

Hot water runs up our electricity bill so I limit to showers, washing whites, and greasy pots/pans.

cold, but not too cold:-)

Warm, I have older teeth.

Cold. I try never to put warm water from the tap into my mouth anymore, since this building is older and the pipe has lead solder. I'm probably paranoid, but bathroom faucets also aren't held to the same standards as kitchen faucets, and I'm pretty sure our faucet is the original one from the early '70s (blechhhh). So, better safe than sorry. Plus, warm water softens the bristles of my toothbrush too much and it feels like I'm not getting my teeth clean.

Cold! I hate it when the water is hot and I didn''t realize, yuck!

Me too.

Cold water, brush for 2 mins. Then floss; then rinse w/ACT.
