Anyone seen this setting called "Pavillion" by Michael Barin?

$29,900 WITHOUT a center stone? 5 ctw WITHOUT center stone?

I read about it...he hand cuts the baguettes to cup the underside pavillion of your center diamond...

When you can''t pave any more, you gotta find new places to stuff the diamonds!

Sure have! I posted it in a thread I started awhile back on designer halos found here:

LOL! My fiance and I were drooling over the exact same ring in the ad in a bridal magazine. The ''basket'' of the ring is so neat! I wonder how secure those baguettes really are though?

I wonder how many people actually purchase that setting though?

It''s super expensive!

Seems like a waste of diamonds to me... But it's gorgeous!

Maybe when I win the lottery????

The truth is it is not my style. My favorite part of the ring is the smooth polished platinum inside the band

But...impressive!

NOW I finally know what folks mean by "gilding the lily".

The diamond-smothered pavillion kinda looks good, but it also kinda looks like safety reflectors ya find on kids bikes.

I know what you mean Deco, it could grow on me I suppose

Upside down ''ballerina'' setting? Not sure I get the point of this one.

Seen the type of setting for wide halo rings - using small tapered baguettes cut to model, and that seems a more reasonable use.

However..

.... can you imagine that diamond bell brought out to light from the underside of a ring to better use - say, as house for a large pearl on a necklace? Or something to that effect. Surely the nicely matched baguettes and difficult setting deserve to be seen.

The most important question for all the clean freaks out there is:

1. How do you clean it? and
2. Can it go into an ultrasonic cleaner?

Wow, that is a bit too much sugar for a dime.

You would have to walk on eggs whenever you wore it! That''s what you call a professional sit still, don''t move, don''t even breathe ring.
