Holiday prices

I read somewhere that diamond prices go up around this time of year. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? And could I save money by waiting until January to buy an engagement ring?

In my opinion, the only places where prices change during the holiday season are places where you do not want to buy anyway.

In general, internet vendors don't push their prices around very much, and if they do it has little or nothing to do with the Holidays, but more to do with supply and demand factors.

If you wait until Jan. you probably won't see prices change much, but supply/selection may be less for a while.

In my opinion if you will wait you will see a price increase,after the season, as goods especially large stones are becoming scarce, if you will buy now it might be advantagious,
I might be wrong but these are the rumors that are going on in the diamond industry!!
