This guy's fingers can go from hard carbon steel to warm extra virgin olive oil.

I just wish NPR rented him an appropriate piano, a big Steingraeber & Söhne, Blüthner, Hamburg Steinway, Bösendorfer, Fazioli, etc., instead of this Yamaha.
But, ya know, follow the money. :nono:

What an artist!!! :kiss2: Thank you for sharing this Kenny - it is just what I needed right now. I enjoyed hearing the story behind each piece as well. At this point in my life I find myself turning to classical music constantly. I listen to WQXR in the car and from the app in other locations. I particularly enjoy Chopin - so this was a treat! :appl::appl::appl:

I am brought to tears by the beauty of this playing.... ;( What a talent!

Oh lort. His hands remind me of all the times my first piano teacher pinched the skin on the back of my right hand and said “up! Make it float like a balloon!” If I didn’t know better I’d swear this guy took lessons from Mrs. Spencer, too.

I’m a big fan of Chopin, played most of what he did. Enjoyable—thanks for posting.

Wow, amazing. Beautiful. An artist indeed and he plays a masterpiece.
:kiss2:

He’s fantastic! I have seen him perform with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Amazing. And I love that he started with that particular Chopin piece. It's such a great showcase for both his technical virtuosity and the emotion of his playing.

I love NPR Tiny Desk concerts!! I'd encourage everybody who doesn't know about them or watch them regularly to see them all, regardless of whether you know the artists, whether you like the artists, or whether you like or know the type of music they play. You will come away with a deep appreciation for what great musicians they all are because it's just them in that small room getting down to the essence of what they love to do. Taylor Swift's recent concert is a great example. If you think Taylor Swift is just some pop piece of fluff, watch her playing alone, doing the songs she wrote, talking about what they mean to her, and you will see her for the talented songwriter and musician she actually is.

Thanks, Kenny, for posting this! I need to go watch some of the concerts I've missed.

Not my type physically, but I'll bet he is AMAZING in bed ... and I'm not talking about sleeping soundly.
All that aggressive raw power but, at the right moments, tempered by extraordinary sensitivity .

Of course, first he'd need a haircut.

@rainwood I watch TDC all the time! One of my faves is BenFolds. Recently, Lizzo...just watched Taylor’s and it was really good!

I loved Lizzo's! I even liked the Jonas Brothers's concert, especially the jazzy version of the first song, and I NEVER thought I'd say that! I'll have to go check out Ben Folds, and see if I've heard that one. I know lots of folks are fans.
