I''ve been wearing White Gold wedding and e ring for 15 years. I have NEVER had them replated.

Since I''ve joined PS and looked at them with DOCD I think they may be showing a little yellow tint. Maybe they used Palladium when they made them?

I don''t know if I will go with plat or WG for my upgrade. Love this discussion tho.

Fortekitty have you been keeping your stones apart? Does the oval look white now?

I''ve been wearing a yellow cz ring on my other hand to try to fool my eyes into thinking the oval is really really white, but it''s not really working. I think my mind already registered it as tinted, so it refuses to be fooled. stupid perceptions.

do you like the yellow cz?

can you convince yourself to embrace the oval for what it *is* instead of lamenting what it *isn''t*?

the yellow cz is really cute! I have a lot of different colored cz rings to match my clothes, and they can usually hold their own against my diamonds, as long as they''re clean.

After hearing of a lady scratching the heck out of her sapphire by her diamonds on the other hand, I don''t wear diamond rings on both hands as i tend to entwine my fingers together, with the knuckles touching each other. So i usually wear a real one and a fake one.

However, I had dinner plans all week last week, so i made the mistake of wearing the marquise and the oval. Guess it screwed up my perception.

I don''t think i''m lamenting what it isn''t. I know that H is still pretty white. I just wish it looked as white *to me* as the day i got it. It really did look white at first!!

It's white again!

Turns out my tan had gradually faded this past month, so there was much less contrast between the diamond and my hand. That's why it was looking more and more yellow to me!

This past weekend was scorching, my hands are tanned, and the diamond is once again white. oops for freaking out!
