Anyone bought from any of these vendors? They seem rather generic and are rarely mentioned here. No offense just curious as I am shopping for a round.

I have bought from Excel, everything went smoothly and super fast in turn around. High Performance Diamond is Wink, I have not purchase diamonds from him, but am in the process of a gemstone purchase, and very pleasant to deal with as well.

HPD, Generic?

As the owner of HighPerformanceDiamonds, I don''t know how to take that?

We sell diamonds that are of the highest cut quality in the world, how is that generic?

Wink

are you talking about branded diamonds? At lease they have and/or can bring it in house to look over the diamonds for you. Infinity is a branded cut... beautiful I might say

At least they are not a drop shipper

Sorry! Generic was a bad word choice. I meant the persona of the sales websites--much different than say Whiteflash or James Allen. Not necessarily bad just more anonymous...?

LOL! Sorry I misunderstood you.

I thought my liberal use of videos, my bio and my incredible education department made me seem cool and personal. (Hey, I now it is hard to be cool when you are in your sixties and a grandpa, but I try!)

If I can ask, what is it that makes it seem anonymous?

Wink

I purchased from Excel. I know they don''t seem to have the hype machine behind them- only about three vendors do and that sometimes makes me wonder- but apples to apples, they match up very well. Read up on their history and you''ll find that they were in the ''cut game'' before many who are mentioned here more often.

I have bought from HPD/Wink Jones. I would descibe them more in the line of a "boutique"operation with personalized service, rather than "generic". Wink was promppt in answering my emails and kept my stone for me while I was having difficulties with inter-bank transfer from Australia although there were others also wanting that particular diamond....... Also the diamond is truly beautiful !

I would say you''re in safe hands with any of these three vendors. All are known for superb diamonds at great prices. Excellent customer service as well.

My ering diamond was purchased from USA Certed. Martin Sheffield was great in finding me a beautiful, brilliant diamond that fit my criteria. Also, his price was the lowest of all the online vendors I inquired with. Although, if I could go back, I wouldn''t purchase from USA Certed only because they don''t have an upgrade policy. I really want to upgrade my diamond, but am stuck as I can''t find anyone to take in a trade.

All three have pretty good reputations here.

USACerted I''ve never bought from but have dealt with and wouldn''t hesitate to purchase from.

Wink I *have* purchased from and he''s a doll.

Anonymous? HPD has a whole page with a photo and long paragraph about owner Wink Jones and Tood Gray. Here. I purchased an Infinity stone from Wink and think the Infinity Diamonds are some of the tightest cut out there. I am no expert but HPD is anything but generic or anonymous.

Perhaps by anonymous he means less talked about/visible. I think WF, GOG, BN and JA are the big four in terms of most mentioned on the forums. If you dig around though Wink does have a great rep in the community and provides a product of very high quality.

yes that is definitely part of it. though I think also its that because they are very limited in scope (pretty much top quality rounds) for what they sell, their websites are more minimal so it feels less interactive maybe? I dont know--as I said I am trying to expand my horizons and I was looking at other vendors and just wondering what there was out there about these other vendors. No offense whatsoever!
