I have been talking w/ bascially a friend of a friend who owns a jewelery store. He has this stone in stock and gave me a price much lower then the appraised value is. What do you think of the stone givin'' the info. below?

Pass! Too much depth. It also appears to be what we call a steep deep and it scored a dismal 5.1 on the HCA. I would say to be very careful with friends who have friends in the business, we rarely see that type of arrangement turn out well.
 
Thanks for quick reply. I will tell him to find another one for me. That is one he had in stock. He is waiting for his vendors to contact him back w/ what they have avail.

You are welcome! See if he can find some AGS0 and GIA Excellent cut grade, as that might make it a bit easier in finding you a lovely diamond. Otherwise if you prefer to stick to EGL, then aim for EGL USA and post the proportions as you have done, then we can go from there.

Ditto. And try to keep the depth between 60-62.
