Hey All,

So, my friend got engaged and is now looking for a ring! :D :appl: I'm so stoked to be able to help him. His requirements are that it be a round diamond and his budget is $3500 for everything. He also said she is hard on her hands so I picked a bezel setting. He sounded more like more funds for the stone than the setting, with the thought to change setting later.

Here's the diamond I choose, what are your thoughts:

Hey All,

Ok, I'm doing a quick bump before work. Please help, does the above diamond look good? I don't want to give bad advice and that was the largest one I could find for the parameters.... :D

I think a WF ACA is always a solid choice - but are you sure they are okay with the K-color and likely noticeable tint?

I also would probably consider a little smaller in the I/J range. If it were for me personally, the K would work but for someone
else I wouldnt go that low.

Also, wondering which bezel setting you picked? I only saw one full bezel at WF and I dont really like it. :((

I think you are on the right track though!

I showed him the stone and he choked a bit on the price and has made a 180 on what he wants. He's leaning now toward a 5 stone, so I'm heading to the SMTB thread with 5 stones stacked with plain bands. Either way I've been having a BLAST looking :D Thank you very much for your input I appreciate it. :D

His budget is no longer $3500? or he just thinks he should be able to get more for his $3500?

Here is a .70 J/SI1. You would have to ask how eye-clean it is. Price $1840

Put it in something like this for $980.

Nice ring for $2820...just another idea if he is looking to spend less money. Also, I think that setting is pretty "blingy" for
the price.

Thanks TYTY, I think he may go the 5 stone route. I may have freaked him out a bit and him asking about eye clean may be much. ;) Plus she works with her hands and so he was concerned about damaging the ring. :D Thank you for scouring!
