I have a wedding set that I am trying to sell. I had it appraised and the appraisal says the center stone is 3/8 ct. Exactly how big is that? (Yes , I have it listed on ebay) I didn''t know where else to go.
Umm...if you're putting it up for sale, doesn't that mean you have the ring now? Try measuring it yourself. Size per carat is not completely standard and depends on cut. Someone can tell you what a well-cut 3/8 should measure, but there's still some variation...
Are you looking for a place to sell it or to appraise it? It might be worth having an independent appraiser (lots here on PS) to determine what the worth is -- could cost you a couple hundred bucks.
I would also suggest maybe listing on craigslist -- I''ve only bought limited merchandise there but seems to have a big return of folks looking for certain things. Good luck!
Should be, yes. But the fraction weights given usually have a range. Micki - look at the inside of the band of your ring - do you see any numbers stamped there? My old 1/2 carat ER has a .52 stamp...
