Hi ladies!
I have begun the painful search for my perfect e-ring, and have recently completely changed directions.. Initially I thought I wanted a RB stone in a simple pave or diamond prong setting, until I saw this ring:
HOLY CRAP!!
WOW. That is about the most gorgeous ring I''ve ever seen.. so classic yet unique. We could never afford those diamonds,so it would be something smaller like 1 carat center 0.25 carat sides. I e-mailed Leon to get a quote on a smaller version of the ring and he quoted labor at roughly $1700 (without stones of course). However, I haven''t called him yet to see if that includes the metal cost (I somehow doubt it). Our budget it $6K at the most, so I sadly think I probably won''t be able to afford the real thing (Leon) without having to use a less-than-desirable stone. I''ve seen some similar settings on other sites, but none are as delicate as Leon''s. I''m also worried about ovals and that bowtie effect.. I haven''t seen a whole lot of ovals in person, but I''d be afraid of having a huge dark stripe across the middle!
Any advice or words of widsom??
Thanks!!
