Got the pics of my halo from my jeweler today. I''m new to PS, and I can''t figure this out for the life of me. Tried ''attach file'' and also attaching the links from my photobucket. Neither worked for me...and I want to show off my halo. Can anyone help me with this? I can email you the pics if you can upload them to the ''halo collection''.

Thanks

Unfortunately we can''t give out email addresses on here.

Are you naming your files something unique? If someone else has named their photos the same as you then yours won''t work. If you click on attach file what happens? Does it take you to your pictures? Also if you can compress your pictures before uploading it will help. Mine are always too big to post!

I am really not sure what I am doing wrong. lol. I resized them in photobucket, but they still didn''t upload. The ''attach file'' let me select a file, and then it said the attached file was named undefined or something of the sort but the pic wouldn''t pull up. I will play around with it a little more and see if I can get it to work. Thanks though!!!

I would be sure to name your files something totally unique.

trying it again!

Its lovely! How long till you get it?

It''s supposed to be finished in about two weeks! I am so anxious to get it. I''ve been on here everyday since I found this site, drooling over everyone else''s halo''s. I have only seen one person IRL that has one (and technically, I haven''t seen it in person...she''s a friend from HS and she posted a pic of it on FB along w/her wedding photos). Then I was google imaging pics of halo''s and came across this site, and was blown away by all the pics, and how many people have them. I''m from a small town in southern, IN and have hardly seen any of them on the jewelry stores around here. I''ve been scooping out different settings (I kept mine in the original solitare setting it came in and just got a simple wrap until I could find something I LOVED). I didn''t want to re-set it and then change my mind, etc. I LOVE halo''s, and I LOVE my oval!!! I can''t wait to get my ring.

It;s lovely. Can''t wait to see in person hand shots

This is the model. I searched and searched on the internet until I found ''THE'' setting. I purchased it off the internet (from a company that charged a mark-up % due to the fact that we didn''t purchase the center stone with them) and took it to my jeweler. Once there, he told me that he could have the same setting made for me at a fraction of the cost, AND since we bought my wrap from him he gave me the full price of what we paid for it towards the halo. So of course, I returned the one I bought online. A company called Levy Creations is who customizes the pieces for my jewler, and then he will set my stone in store. The model is set with a .68, I believe, and mine is a .80 oval. So, it will be a ''tad'' larger but not much. What I didn''t realize in my search for the perfect setting was that Levy Creations does custom jobs. LC has the same setting on their site, but it is set with a princess, and I think also a marquise. They don''t have detailed pictures showing the surprise diamonds and the diamonds going up to the halo. Also, on their site in the product description, it does not say it can be customized...it just states what size stone will work with that setting. Of course, I would have known all this had I spent more time discussing specifics with my jeweler BEFORE buying something on-line. Only have about two weeks until it will be complete. I am SO excited to get it!!!

I can hardly contain my excitement!!! The setting arrived at the jeweler''s yesterday, so I got to go try it on, inspect it, etc. to make sure it was exactly the way I wanted it. All I can say is WOW...the pictures the jeweler sent me do it no justice. I, literally, broke down while looking at it and thinking about what this ring represents to my husband and me...the walk we have endured in our marriage with having a sick child. It symbolizes how precious life is. The ''halo'' for the angel God has blessed us with. The sapphire/diamond eternity band because she was born in September.

BACK-GROUND STORY:
Our 2 yr old daughter, baby B as I call her, was born in Sept 2007 @ 31 weeks w/D-Transposition of the Great Arteries, an ASD, VSD, and incomplete atrioventricular canal. She''s had 2 surgeries to date. The first one @ 16 days old to, basically, re-build her heart. They switched her aorta and pulmonary valve bc they were reversed, repaired the ASD, and VSD, detached her coronary ateries and re-planted them where they were supposed to be, and built her atrioventricular canal. Everything the doctors prepared us for (pre-surgery)..all the possibilities of worsts, well, none of them happened despite that she is the smallest baby to have that particular surgery @ Riley''s Childrens Hospital. She weighed in at 4 lbs 8 oz the day she had open heart surgery. Her cardio-thoracic surgeon, and numerous other doctor''s have told us they have no explanation for her ''miraculous'' recovery except to say God has His hands on her. She was released from the hospital 2 weeks and 6 days after having surgery. Weeks even before my due date with her. Within a month she was off all cardiac meds, and her NG tube was out. 2nd surgery took place when she was 16 months old. Due to some medications they gave her pre-surgery the first time, her adenoids grew abnormally large and were starting to obstruct her airways. So, she had her adenoids and tonsils removed. And had tubes put in to try to correct a slight hearing impairment caused by her prematurity. We were told to expect a 3-5 day stay in the hospital. From the time she went to the OR until we were discharged was 23 hours.

There will be more surgeries in our future, she currently as pulmonary stenosis and valve leakage. When the time comes that she goes into ''cardiac failure'' status, she will need a partial transplant. It''s hard, but we know we are in this walk together. Instead of letting the stress of the situation tear our marriage apart, it has made us a stronger team. It has made us cherish life more.

The ring is not a story of grief, but of life. Of the life we have created together, and the strength of our marriage.

Our jeweler is setting my center stone today, and I can not wait to pick it up. Hand shots will be posted the day I get it.
