I am looking at buying a diamond 2.47ct VS E ideal cut online. There''s alot of lingo on this site which I do not understand. What else should I look for aside from the usual 4 cs.

Check prices for similar stones, compare apples to apples. Make sure that it is not steep/deep AGS0 (high crown and pavilion angles).

Make notes of the vendor's policies.

For more confidence, send your stone to independent appraiser.

The quality of the cut proportions plays a critical role in the look of the stone and unfortunately this is tough to assess through the computer screen!
