I need help with picking color for my wedding vow renewal. This will bne our 12th year (8-19-95) of marriage and we ahve decided to redo it again because the first one was a diseaster. Lots of things went wrong, and they are more in love now then what we were when we originally got married. My wedding date is scheduled for 8-18-07, last summer wedding. My first wedding colors was purple, black and white. I''ve already had to change colors for this wedding from Red and Ivory to Bubble Gum Pink and Ivory. I''m looking for a accent color that will go well with those color. I''m thinking of either light pink or light blue. What do you think? Or do you think that there is another color that will work out great?

Please send my your ideas..................

I''ve always liked light blue with pink and white, but a lot of people say it reminds them of a baby shower. I think it''s all in how you do it. Green is pretty too, but that''s very popular and may be too "overdone" for you. Green is across from red/pink on the color wheel, so it definitely works. A light yellow might be pretty too.

green, but that may be too preppy.

are bubblegum pink and light pink the same?

yellow, light orange, or pinkish orange?

No, Bubble Gum Pink is same color as a piece of bubble-licious bubble gum. LOL

Well seeing how I just got married last weekend and my colors were black and white with purple accents I think you got it right the first time around

Speaking of brown, pink and brown could look fabulous together:

I just got home from the bridal store and I was a turquoise dress that I loved, it also comes in the Bubble Gum Pink that I like too. My question is do you think it will like right to have my two MOH''s wear Bubble Gum Pink and the other 4 BM''s wear Turquoise? They all will be wearing the same dress also. If I do both colors they will be combined with Ivory. Please let me know your opinions!

This is harder then the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks.........

ooooooooh Yeah!

I''m also having a hard time deciding if I should wear a halter dress. My BM''s are wear halters. What do you think?

I did a quick search around the house and found some examples of medium toned bubble gum pink (my Venus razor) and turquoise (contact lense case))... and "hot" BGP and TQ (from my fabric stash).

In both cases the combination reminded me of houses in the Carribbean. They were painted in fun colors that would seem garish here but not under the blazing sun, and they faded to beautiful soft hues that still had that element of relaxed, casual. and fun. It''s probably because of that connection that the combination shouted PAAAARTY! to me, and made me think of barbecued shrimp and a steel drum band! If you want a festive atmosphere this combination would work. I think "elegant," if that''s the feeling you''re going for, might be hard to pull off with this color combination. .

So I guess the first question is, where are you planning to have this wedding, and what mood are you trying to convey?

JessaJS,

You have the same color palette as me! I actually picked mine after I saw a gorgeous Crane wedding invitation. I''m getting married May 26, 2007 and my colors are sage green, chocolate brown, and ivory.

As for accenting bubble gum pink, I say go with a neutral (chocolate brown does look fabulous with pink!) and let the pink pop!

I''m with MINIMS on this... it all depends on the mood. While I love both turquoise and bubblegum pink, I don''t think I''d put them together, at least not for an evening ceremony. If it''s a day time thing outside, then maybe, but I still think it''s a bit much. You can always do turquoise ribbons on the bouquets, or go with the turqoise dresses and have just pink accents, but having half the girls in one color and half in another would just be too much color! too bright! But hey, if it is a Carribean wedding, it''s perfect!

My first apartment was about 20 different colors, most of them bright... I just picked a color I liked and painted the walls... I had pink up against yellow and green and it was great, but the turqoise was in the bathroom... I just couldn''t get them all together. (And now that I live with my FI, I''m glad I got that out of my system!) Bright colors are fun, but best used in moderation, especially in clothing!

Okay girls think I have it finalized.....It''s going to be red, pink and Ivory. I know it''s valentine colors but I still think that it will be fine! I already had a red flower girl basket, ring bearer pillow, guest book, fabic bags, tulles and balloons. I was going to send it all back but I guess I''ll just keep it all now.
