Hello,
I have a vintage art deco engagement ring and I want to get a simple 18k white gold or platinum band to go with it. I would prefer a band that has a flower pattern or some kind of engraving. I want the band to be thin, 1-2 mm. I would like to stay around $500.

The e-ring came with a non-matching diamond anniversary band. I plan on wearing the plain band always and alternating between the e-ring and diamond anniversary band. The two rings don't look all that great together. Also, since this set is used, I want to get a replica ring, not a true vintage wedding band.

I have looked online and also went to some local jewelers but all the rings I tried look to "new" compared to my ring that is older, almost like the 14k gold looked too shiny next to the 18k gold e-ring. I think I may need to try and find a replica band so that it doesn't look so "new."

Here are pics of my ring...

After you wear a band awhile, it won't look so new.

Here's a 3mm embossed band from eweddingbands.com: http://www.e-weddingbands.com/store/product168070.html

I don't think you're going to find an engraved/embossed band that's 1mm wide. I have a spacer that's that width and can't imagine trying to see any embossing or engraving on it. Even 2mm is awfully narrow. 2.5mm or 3mm will allow you to see some of the pattern.

Love your ering. I'm having a similar style ring made (rose gold) to fit a .8 OMC, except that the head of mine will have a much narrower frame than yours.
