Alternately, I'd get this:

with this setting:

Or this one:

I've reserved the cushion that you linked to but I still am unsure what to do about the setting. I'd really like to find a three stone setting but am having a lot of trouble with it. I think I'd like to have the side stones be cushions as well (willing to give up on the pave if necessary) and I'm having trouble finding some good options. Some advice or recommendations on settings would be fantastic! I have about $2000 to spend on the setting (I'd prefer not to go much higher than that). I inquired about a number of GOG settings and was a little disappointed with the quotes I received to be honest. The quotes I received from GOG on Gabriel settings was between 10.9% and 12.4% off the price listed on the Gabriel website.

How concerned should I be about the side stones given that cushions are very hit-or-miss to begin with?

Looking at some of the setting on Gabriel NY's website makes me wonder if the settings are too thick. My girlfriend wears a size 4.5 ring and the width of their settings seems to be 2-3 times the width of what is listed on WF.

Although I've reserved the signature cushion linked above I'd be interested in hearing opinions on this stone as well:

I asked for a video comparison between the two stones which is linked below:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to bump this back to the front but I'm still hoping for a little help with the two diamonds I posted above and some recommendations on what I might do about the setting.

Neither one of us is a fan of halo settings (just personal preference) which seems to limit my options on Gabriel settings if I consider something outside of 3 stone settings. If I got a solitaire setting I'd definitely want pave but I'd still prefer the 3 stone.

i like the H&A version more than the modern cut cushion, though personally i prefer antique cushions...

They are both gorgeous. Do you have a preference?

Thank you both for the replies :). I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't look like I'll be able to find a three stone setting but I did have a chance to look around some more today. I found this setting that I liked using the GOG setting search:

On the Gabriel website it says it's for round center stones but I think I'm going to inquire about it anyways. For a solitaire I think I prefer the Brellia but for a three stone I'd go with the modern signature cushion. I don't think I could afford (or probably find small enough) Brellia side stones for a three stone ring. The symmetry of the center stone and more random faceting of the side stones would probably drive me a little crazy.

Gypsy you'd mentioned that you thought the setting discount (at least on Gabriel settings) through GOG was 20%. Was this from personal experience? The quotes I received were all closer to 10% off the price on Gabriel's website. I'm not sure if the discount is a function of the cost of the diamond (or setting) or maybe the price of the setting for GOG has changed.

I think that first setting is beautiful, but I can't decide how my girlfriend would feel about it. The second setting just goes to the Gabriel NY settings page on GoG though.

I think ghat setting is beautiful also! Its unique but in a good way.
