Hi everyone

I lost my original bridal set a few years ago.

We''ve been looking to replace it.

Then I recently inherited my mother''s .40 rb diamond and I thought why not use this as my center stone in my new setting.

I''ve been lurking on this site for awhile and I''ve realized I am more of setting''s girl anyway.

I found this setting on line. What do you think of it? And has anyone worked with them?

I emailed them about their work and it''s hand made. They do custom work too. My original ring had hand engraving and I thought I would get that again. But I kind of like this setting. They said they would hand engrave it for me if I wanted for an extra $200.

Would a .40 stone look ok in this setting? Thanks

hi le chateau,

I''m sorry to hear you lost your setting.

But it''s nice you now have a sentimental stone.

I think a .40 could look fine in that setting. The only thing I would caution you abouit is if you want a setting that will make the stone "pop". (I only mention as size is really important to some gals) The size of your diamond (width) will be close to the width of the area surrounding it. So it''s not going to make the diamond stand out/look larger, but if that is not your main goal, then I think it would look fine!

I am not familiar with this company. Have you tried searching their name on here?

Thanks for that caution. That is something to consider. Hmm.

I have searched for this company on here and nothing came. I did a google search and there was one review about their custom work and it was positive.

I will be honest, as price is really the only thing we have to go on here, it could be indicative of the quality. That price is awfully low for what the setting contains. In comparing with quality settings I am familiar with, it would be comperable to a plain WG setting. (no diamonds) It just seems rather inexpensive, and there's that old saying, You get what you pay for.

Have you tried looked through the listed vendors inventory on here? (under Resources at the top of the page) That would help give you reassurance you are getting a quality piece.

And you're welcome!
