Help with these diamonds specs? (Thanks)

Considering I know very little about the good attributes of a diamond other than cut, and color? Could you please be so kind as to give me your opinion on this .79ct diamond I am wanting to get for my engagement ring....

Depth: 60.2
Table: 56%
Girdle: Thin to medium
Culet: None
Polish: Very good
Symmetry: Very good

I have no idea what the pavil or crown angles are but I will ask tomorrow....They did send me the certificate of the diamond.
My budget is no more than $1100 for the diamond.

Sorry to say, the pavilion angle is too shallow for that crown angle to be use as a ring stone, it will have obstruction issue, mainly the darkening of the stone when viewed too closely. What are you using the stone for? Might be good as a pendant stone though.

Ok only. Looked from a far, more than 1 ft, should perform just as well as other near tolk ideal stone, but close up might go dark as the light source that the stone is reflecting is blocked by the observer. So, if you can live with it, it is good.

I agree with Ellen I would pass on that stone, pavilion angle is very shallow...

Ditto Ellen. It isn''t the crown angle that is the problem here or even paired with the pavilion angle, it is the pavilion angle which is too shallow . The pavilion angle is what causes obstruction, the crown angle can''t save it even if it were steeper.

Obstruction is where the diamond visibly darkens at close scrutiny as the observer''s head blocks light to the stone. See this video for obstruction in action, lower right of the page.

Thanks for your wonderful replies.....Even though I am not a diamond expert or think i will care too much about the little things, I would just like a quality diamond for as less as possible...also i wouldnt mind if it is of noticeable size for my size 7 finger. I''m still deciding on the actual diamond, but was really hopeing that that one would be ok for a non diamond expert.

Also have you all heard of the Stardust settings? Let me know what you think... Stardust Active Setting or if there is anyone that has this setting I would love to see it Stardust Setting......
