Help with taking pics of ring

Hey, gang. Finally got the dimendscassi radiant pave ring. Its gorgeous! My fiancee was extremely happy as was I! One problem. I am trying to take a pic of it and my digital camera cannot focus on it. I even tried my buddies and it didnt work. What kind of camera do you use? Her uncle is a pro photographer so I am trying to get over there and get some done so I can post them for you to see. Thanks.

Check for a macro setting on your camera and turn off the flash. You don''t have to be super close to the ring to get a good photo. When I took pictures on roses the photo had the entire rose and some of the surroundings in it. The digital photo will be very large and you can later crop just the ring or area you want to see and it will be closer to the correct size for posting. Even with that I had to take hundreds of pictures to get a couple that were in focus, but that is the beauty of digital. Good luck.
