So after searching and searching I think I finally decided on the ring. I went to my local Bailey Banks and B just to see Tacori rings up close and I love them but this one in particular struck me. I know she loves Tacori because of the ''antique'' look to their rings. Tell me what you think of this ring. Her finger is small so I would need about a 4 3/4 ring. If you all are Tacori fans do you know any particular reason this ring wouldnt be good in WG rather than PLAT?

I think the ring would be lovely in WG too.

2 comments about WG vs. platinum:

1. Platinum is more durable long term for small set stones like this ring has because it can be banged around a bit more and will bend to hold the stones instead of breaking like gold can.

2. You need to make sure your girl can wear WG without having to replate it all the time. For some people they can go years without WG yellowing but for some people it might only be a few months which would be a PITA.

But as far as looks go, it''ll be very pretty in either metal!

what a beautiful setting!! I think the main thing about wg vs plat is that the white gold tends to yellow... I have white gold and I have had it re-plated once so far. (I''ve had my ring for about 2 1/2 years) Platinum tends to get a patina, which makes it look a little bit dark, but this can be taken care of by getting it polished. I think either is beautiful.

This is a really, really pretty setting. I think it will look truly lovely on her petite finger. She will definitely have a bit of bling, but I know she will love it!
