) Close one We stayed in Verona end of April this year. The weather was perfect and the ring almost dug a hole in my pocket as I carried it in there for the past two days waiting for the right moment. Can't believe she didn't notice me always checking if it's still there
Besides touring Verona we also visited Lago di Garda and the Sirmione old town with it's famous castle. We arrived in the morning and stayed for lunch. We had a great time there and it's a really nice old town but it was so crowded there and we had no privacy so I decided to wait a bit more. Later that same day we went on to this little town on the mid-east coast called Tori del Benaco. A great discovery...almost no tourists, cute little alleyways, great food.
We sat down in a restaurant/bar across the castle overlooking the tiniest, cutest marine with turquoise water, ordered some drinks and finger food and talked about the future and the baby girl we are expecting. I then slid off the chair, got on my knee and popped the question. When she figured out what I was doing she started crying and said yes. I could not have asked for a better time & place to propose. And the ring was perfect for her, she adores the stone and the setting.
An amazing experience altogether
