I purchased a yg bracelet that was advertised as 22k. It has a stamp 750 which is for 18k gold. However it has another stamp. I’m getting mixed information regarding what the other stamp means. Anyone has any idea ? Also, if the piece has 2 different stamps ( assuming a mix of 2 different metals), how would one know what % is what ?seems like the stamp is 834 ( see pics). It’s hard to read the top # from the pics. Are you sure it’s 834? 750 is 18kt and 834 is 20kt. If correct, not 22kt (916) as advertised.

I can’t be quite sure that it says 834. I guess I should bring it to jewler to confirm.

@dhimer Most likely the clasp is made in 18k as 22 is too soft for keeping it secure. I have seen this on some old pieces back at Neiman's.

That would make sense. I can’t even tell if it’s 834 or another #. The gold looks too rich to be 18k so likely it’s 20k. It’s a beautiful piece but would be overpriced if in 18k ( it’s the one with the sapphires) 95768990-534D-4E23-9B55-050CDF2EE450.jpeg
