Hi -

I''m starting to look for a center stone with an HCA of <2.0 with an ideal cut, and no less than VG polish/ symmetry, and a great Idealscope image. I''d like to find a stone between around 1 ct +/- .10.

I''m finding some that meet this criteria, and am now in the process of trying to determine which inclusions are the better type to accept - - "freckles", a single pronounced black fleck, a feather or two. Case in point, I found two ACA diamonds, one with a feather on the outer edge of the diamond (my untrained eye is very happy with this flaw maybe being hidden by the setting? but is it dangerously located?) and another with a mild case of freckles scattered across the outer center of the diamond. I am inclined to like the feathered inclusion over the case of the freckles, or in general, one biggie rather than lots of little inclusions if that makes sense.

I read with interest to be wary of a "perfect'' SI stone at 40x, so forewarned is fairwarned, thanks! What type and where on the stone are ''acceptable'' inclusions and would be preferred over others? I would think cloudy is bad all the way around.

Thanks for any advice!!

Make an appointment to talk to Brian when he has both in front of him then decide.
Being that they allready passed Brian''s inspection there wont be a huge issue with either but might or might not be eyeclean.

Sorry to ask the dumb question, but is Brian at Whiteflash? Thanks!
