Hello,

Total newbie here and looking for help selecting a princess cut diamond. I've read several posts and it seems for this cut I should be looking for colour in the G-I, Clarity VS2 to SI1 with a depth of 68-75. Is there any other important things I should also look for?

My dollar value is around $3500 and I have been looking on the James Allen site and saw a few that I've listed below but I really don't know what I'm looking for with that microscope, chips (I did mention I was a newbie)?? Also the diamonds I've posted below are they good or is there something that sticks out that I'm missing?

Thanks so much

When you do the search on James Allen, you need to be clicking "Ideal" beside Cut. That way, only the excellent stones should show up. You don't want to be looking at "good" because those are not well cut.

This is about the best thing I see coming up in your budget range. It is $3620 with PS discount:

If you are the least bit interested in it, I'd advise putting it on hold because there isn't a lot in that price range.

actually some AGS0 cuts show up under 'good' so I would look at all of their cut labels. I don't particularly care for the ones you posted.
I'm not seeing too much in your budget/specs at JA...would you consider other vendors?

Thanks for all your help. I would look outside of JA, was just looking on their as I saw a setting that I had liked but if it means a better diamond I'm willing to move on. Can I ask what you saw in the diamonds I posted that weren't appealing? Just trying to better educate myself on what to look for. Thanks again.
