Hi Everyone,

I have been reading the forum for sometime now, there are a lot of great posts, advice etc...but now it is my turn to ask for advice.

I am looking for a center stone in the VS1-VS1, 2.0 Carat range, any advice on the following. There is a small cloud in the top of the diamond, left of center, so the inclusion, though it is eye clean, it is directly on the top of the stone.

Price $22,000 USD.

2.01 cts. VS2, H, AGS cert. Canadian Diamond.
Measurements 7.99 x 8.10 x 5.05 mm

Total Depth - 62.6%
Table 54.6%
Girdle Thin to Slightly Thick
Culet; Pointed.

Polish: Very Good
Sym: Excellent.

AGS Grade: AGS 2.0
AGS Clarity: AGS 4

There is no problem with the inclusion.

Welcome Rippy,

We need a bit more info please, ditto Julie the inclusion is not a problem - can you provide the crown and pavilion angles please, the polish and symmetry grades, and whether this diamond has a Diamond Quality Document or Diamond Quality Report?

You are welcome and thanks!

The proportions aren't the best, it is at my top tolerance for depth at 62.6%, the angles aren't the best combination and the diameter has a bit too much variance for my personal preference. Having said that, I would ask the vendor if they can supply an ASET or Idealscope image, that will tell us more on how this diamond actually looks.

This page explains how idealscope works, some vendors will just supply the image of a diamond on request.
