Please help with the (2) diamonds. I have been trying to read up on everything about fire and sparkle performance since that is what is most important to me. The first one has a smaller table and larger crown angle which is better for what I am looking for?

Hey Serra,

Can you double check the pavillion angle for the 1st stone? I think you accidentally put in the same value for crown & pavillion...

That might help people give you advice : )

Pav Angle is 40.7

Still some missing information. Bst thing to do is ask WF which one has the personality you want.

with the information you have, they look like they would be hard to tell apart. any small differences between top cuts like this become pretty difficult for the eye to discern. with well cut diamonds, you will get fire and sparkle and these small differences won''t take that away.

best of luck!

Help with one more please - This is the one I originally picked out, but I was afraid because of the girdle thickness. (I have badly chipped a diamond in the past) due to 4-prong setting and very active life. I''ve been reading on the color and the setting will be in white gold. The other two are G & F. I find it difficult to tell the color - but there must be something to it that my uneducated eyes cannot really see

Any help is appreciated - I get married next month. Thanks so much!

Table: 55.6
Crown Angle: 34.7

Pavilion Angle: 40.8
Pavilion %: 43.1

this one looks great too! i would easily go for the ''h''
you would have to do some real damage to the ring to chip the girdle. if you think that is even remotely possible, perhaps you should think about getting the stone bezel set.
otherwise, insure it and wear it without a care.

I know the differences is so little - but needs someone else opinion. Thanks so much. If you don''t think there is much difference in the colors F-G-H between the 3 I selected. I think I will opt for the bigger one. A girl has to start somewhere.

Any other comments are appeciated, I have to make my purchase soon.

Personally, I like diamonds in the colorless range. However, I am a fan of fancies which tend to show more color. A well-cut round should be just fine in an H.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I picked out their simple 6 prong tiffany-style setting and the .782, SI1, H today based on the color feedback. I think this forum is a great resource for learning and networking. Thanks to pricescope for producing such a great website! We appreciate it. Leslie at Whiteflash was a wonderful person. She was very helpful and personable over the phone. Can''t wait to see it later this week.

congrats serra..please report what you think and I''d love to see pictures...

Here is a pic of my "H" ring - but for some reason it can see some color that appears green in the pics? Any comments?

yeah, that's normal. the white background and lighting (flourescent, maybe? you could ask) make the color stand out more. You'll never be in an all white room and be wearing white clothes. I'd just ask and make sure that the seats are cut properly. It looks a little deep, but I can't really tell from a picture.

Many of the WF photos of this type show the diamonds picking up some colour, so don''t worry! Lovely choice!

Well, I''ve had an opportunity to admire my ring for several days now. I can''t say enough about the quality of this diamond. It really is an outstanding stone. I now understand all the color issues that I''ve read on this site. I agree that color acceptance is based on individual tastes and preferences. My stone is H & yes, I can see the difference in certain lighting and especially compared to a colorless stone. However,it is not a "bad" difference. The stone has all the fire and sparkle that I wanted and that was most important to me. The colors that the stone gives off is unbelievable! And the clarity, wow. I never knew diamonds could shine like this.

Thanks again to everyone for their input and help. Especially Lesley at Whiteflash. From the time I decided on the stone on one day to the next day when made the bank wire, the ring was set & shipped same day and receipt the next. Talk about quick! I was so nervous. I wasn''t even sure I would like the setting, but I love it. It makes my .78 diamond appear so large in a size 4 setting.

I won''t go back to a stone that isn''t a H&A diamonds. This site is a great resource for all and the people are so friendly and wonderful.

If I can figure out how to take a pic with my camera, I''ll try to post a pic.
