Hey Pricescopers,

Found this forum about a month ago and have been reading as much as I can about Princess Cuts. Hoping to get some help deciding between a few stones that meet my criteria - budget is around 6-7k USD for the stone, 8k total with the setting.

Criteria I am looking for is Eye clean SI1 or better, Colour I or better, and AGS Ideal Cut/Best I can find.

At this stage I am tossing up between the following Whiteflash ACA's

1. http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-2959565.htm
2. http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-2959561.htm
3. http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-3244527.htm
4. http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-2977140.htm

3 of these are AGS certified, with ASET images provided for all 4. From what I have learnt (feel free to correct me!) more red is better, but I have also read that more red towards the outside of the stone will give the appearance of a larger stone.

Stone 4 seems to have the most red, and least light leakage of the 4 (at the cost of size), but it as almost all in the centre?
Where the other stones appear to have more red towards the edges but less in the centre, and more contrast towards the middle?

How would you rank these stones? I am not set on whiteflash either, if there are any other suggestions that fall within my budget.

thanks in advance!

You have picked some really nice stones. They are all nice but have slightly different personalities.

I would probably eliminate the H. The color is lower and the aset doesnt look any better than the G asets.

I like the small table on the 1.06 and the faceting pattern but would probably eliminate that next because I would
want to eek out a little more size.

That leaves me with the 1.20 and the 1.23. I prefer tables that are not square. I like them bowed. The 1.20 has a very
square table (just not as interesting to me). That brings me to my final choice of the 1.23. Nice color, a little more size,
pretty faceting pattern, and nice contrast. So, the 1.23 would be my choice when I work my way through what I like and
dont like, however, you may have totally different likes/dislikes. Try to figure out what makes each stone appealing to you
and figure out which stones have those things that appeal to you.

Eliminating stones 1 by 1 for whatever reason you decide also helps.

Good luck!
