Hi there, really hoping for some help from you guys!

I've whittled down my diamond to a choice of two within my budget - both reports are listed below.

Should I be concerned that in the first GIA report, there are no entries for 'culet' and 'girdle'?

In your opinion, which diamond is best? If both are rubbish, please tell me!!

Thanks! John.

This one is £760 - about $1190.

Not enough information. For princess and other fancy shapes, we need at least an ASET image to work with. Else, stick to an AGS0 cut graded princess, AGS being the only lab that grades the cut performance of princess.

For the size you are looking at, you can easily go to an SI1 clarity graded stone graded by AGS/GIA and still be eye-clean.

This is within your budget but slightly smaller.

Out of curiosity, why on the Blue Nile page is the diamond cut 'very good' but in the AGS report listed as 'ideal'?

Any other verdicts on these three diamonds?

Cheers all.

John

BlueNile only list their in-house stones, Signature Ideal, any other stones will at best get a VG in cut grade based on very simplistic measures such as table, depth%. I would trust AGS cut grade more than whatever grades BN gives.
