Please help. I need to know how much to pay for a princess cut diamond with the following stats:

1.3 carat
74% depth
74% table
F color
VVS2 Clarity

The kicker is that it has a 1.1 length to width ratio. I haven''t seen anything with those measurements online ANYWHERE and am a bit concerned. The asking price is $7400 and my fiancee loves it and I have to order her setting tomorrow for it to be ready in time for the wedding. They jeweler seems willing to bargain to some degree (having dropped the price from $7800), but I just thought I would run it by the experts. How much should I pay?

That price seems to be in line very well with the prices generated by using the pricescope diamond search. If she loves it go for it! Post pictures please!

Congrats!

Assuming that the stone doesn't have strong flour. and from the limited info.,it should be around $6,600-$7,250.00 .

It is not clear from the poste wether you have seen the stone or not (your finacee like it but you are unsure about the proportions...). The stone should look square, in my opinion. Also, a little piece of software called "Fancy Shape Selector" found on THIS webpage may help demonstrate this.

I am not at all convinced that the respective weight and table numbers indicate a great cut. There is no universally accepted standard for princess cuts, but according to a rather wide-spread one (AGA table for princess cut parameters) this stone falls within the 'average' cut class. So is the price... so why not.
