Help with Pink Diamonds

Greetings folks - belated happy new year to all.

Been away in Oz enjoying the scorching summer down there. Looking at some Argyle pink diamonds to channel set in a simple platinum setting. Here''s the dilemma.

Attached picture of 12x0.01-0.015ct pink diamonds. Two of which aren''t even quite round. Colour is pretty intense pink, though. No other details given. The jeweller wants AUD 207 each (equiv. US$160).

Is this a fair B&M price, given they are pretty well matched intense pinks?

Coloured gemstone guys - chime in!

Price sounds good for what I see in the picture. The matching could be better, but this is not the worst. Same for color and clarity (forget the cut, "fair" is to be expected for these). However, the smallest I ever had to deal with were 0.08-0.1cts so that's wat I am talking about. All in all, no objections against this set from my part.

He he... taht picture is intriguing to say the least! Hope to see the ring soon

Thanks Val, $2000 seemed an awful lot to pay for 0.12ct (12 pts) of melee, but I guess that's the problem with these pinks!

I have a H&A I colored diamond and it looks plenty white. When viewed from above (ie, where most of the viewing will take place), I can't see any color at all. Good luck!
