Help with Picking a Diamond

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums, but have been trying to utilize the info on the forums. But now I think I'm almost there to buying the ring. But I'm choosing between 2 diamonds that I found on BN. I think both are pretty similar, unfortunately I'm buying online so I can't really compare them with my eyes.

Diamond Ring #1
1.2ct, E, VS2, XXX, Strong blue fluorescence
measurements - 6.84-6.86 x 4.19mm
depth %: 61.2
table %: 58
crown angle: 34
pavilion angle: 41

Diamond Ring #2
1.22ct, F, VS1, XXX, strong blue fluorescence
measurements - 6.94-6.95 x 4.17
depth %: 60
table %:59
crown angle: 33.5
pavilion angle: 41

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Or if someone is able to point me in the direction of something better I'm open to suggestions. My budget is about $8,000 and 1-1.2ct F and at least VS2 clarity. Thanks so much!

I like Diamond #2, but not a huge fan of a strong fluorescence for either one.

I prefer the angles on the first one. But both need to be checked to make sure they aren't over blue.

Can we help you find some better options?
What is your budget and what do you want for it.

Gypsy - I'd like to spend under $9000 for ring and setting. I'm looking for a round solitaire, above 1ct F and at least VS2 or better. I originally narrowed my choices down to the first 2 based on HCA scores. Is that still a viable tool?

Even though my gf would want the biggest diamond possible, I want to give her something I know is really great quality. I've checked out a few of the other websites, but stayed with BN since I felt more comfortable with their website. But any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks lxAsTrOxl! Even though the fluorescence bothers me a bit, I'd rather pay for a bigger and/or better diamond rather than one that has little or no fluorescence.

Wow I can't believe I am such an amateur, but I didn't even realize PS had its own diamond search! And the filters are much more preferred. It's opened up so many more possibilities, now I'm probably back to square 1...

It seems most of the diamonds popping up on the search are from Enchanted. I was chatting with Joshua and while he was very nice and helpful, he definitely was trying to sell me on a diamond (best polisher in the world, cuts perfect diamonds, etc.). It kind of turned me off a bit. Also I'm not sure about their Personal Cut Score. How reliable is that? Here is the diamond I was looking at:
