Help with first time buy - 5k budget - total Newbie

So I've been lurking for a little while now and decided it was finally time to ask for some help.
My budget is approx 5k, and I'm in Canada ...thus nasty taxes will probably take a small chunk out of that =(.
I'm looking for a round cut diamond ~1 Carat with a platinum setting....

Below is a 0.91 Carat diamond I found on JA (no picture posted yet, though I did request one from JA), I think it scored a 1.4 on the HCA test (I think I did that right?).

I'm thinking of pairing it with this setting:

The diamond numbers look good but I wouldn't consider an SI2 unless I could see the magnified image. I am sure they will tell you whether it is eyeclean, but I'd have to see the image before I went to all the trouble of having the stone mounted and sent to me because some SI2's are not eyeclean. Most people ask for the idealscope image as well to be sure there isn't leakage. You're on the right track, though!

I'd also go up one size on the pave ring. That is so thin that you might be asking for problems.

I've been told it'll be a few days for the magnified image. I've also requested an idealscope image from JA and gemologist evaluation.
Thanks for the suggestion regarding the width of the setting, keep em' coming! =D
