And hopefully my last. :)

Went to the Jewelery mart in LA and told the guy I wanted 2.0 Carat, H color, SI1 with EX EX EX. He came back with the following. Ran an HCA and came out to 3.2. Opinions. How can I guide him to get HCA lower. I have not asked for price yet.

Help...

Thanks,

Rick

Try to keep the pavilion under 41 degrees.
You need not have EX eX EX - VG for sym and polish will get you more options and better prices

Or follow the AGA RB cut guideline for ideal cut?

http://diamonds.pricescope.com/round.asp

If he has AGS graded stone, find those AGS0 stone, that will work.

As Garry mentions, going for a diamond with a pav angle of < 41 deg will get a lower HCA score, Yoricky the rest of the diamond proportions are good and what to aim for.
