I am debating about three settings, and Iw as wondering if anyone has actual pictures or advice on them.

1. DeBeers Classic solitare with micropave

2. Blue Nile Miligrain Micropave

3. Blue Nile Petite Pavé-Set Diamond Cathedral Ring in Platinum

I love 1, but I''m worried it''s overpriced and we''re not getting as good of a deal as we could. I like 2, but I''m a little concerned about the spacing between the sides and the diamonds. And with three, I''m worried the setting looks a little too low and the band is too thin (1.5mm). So, I was hoping maybe someone had experience or advice on any of these.

Thanks!

I think 1''s price is okay. And it''s lovely.

Have you looked at Pearlmans, Brian Gavin Diamonds, or Engagement rings direct to see what their prices are on similar settings? I I think the debeers is higher quality than the other two you posted, IMO and is more in line with the retailers I just listed.

No, I have not looked at those sites but I will. My concern with the DeBeers setting i not the cost of the setting, but the cost of a diamond if we buy it from there. I don''t think they''ll sell us a setting without one of their diamonds (maybe that''s wrong?).

You never know-- worth asking. Blue Nile won''t set another''s diamond either. Check out the retailers I mentioned. Pearlmans does ''package'' pricing sometimes... if you buy both the stone and the setting from them, but you have to call them, they don''t have any real selection of diamonds showing on their site, but do carry well cut diamonds.

Another dealer is Dimend Scaasi. They do lovely settings and are an Infinity dealer.

I made them clickable for you...

Of the 3, I like the 1st one the best but it''s hard to tell because they don''t show you the profile. Do you have a stone yet? What size are you thinking of?

If you don''t have a stone yet, check out Whiteflash and Brian Gavin Diamonds. They have several gorgeous settings very similar to these.

No we don''t have a stone yet. I just started looking at Whiteflash, and also like the Legato setting with Micropave sides. Thanks for making the links clickable! I''m new here and not familiar with things. My ring size is just a tad smaller than a 5, so I''d probably go with a 5. The 4.75 is too tight.
