Help Please. My wife and I have been married now for 15yrs and it is time to upgrade from a .5ct from Friedman''s bought in 1993. I have been on here reading and learning for the last 2 months. I know I going to be buying for someone online and I have found a stone I really like, so please give me your opions. The only real thing that makes me a little leary is it is EGL certified. I haven''t called to ask if it is EGL USA, EGL or EGL Isreal yet. Here are the specs:

Price: $9,468.00

Weight: 1.53 Cts

Shape & cut: Round Brilliant
Measurements: 7.36 - 7.32 x 4.56 mm

Proportions
Depth: 62.1%
Table: 55%
Crown: 15% (the egl cert doesn''t give angles, should i be conserned?)
Pavillion: 43% (see above question)
Girdle: Medium, Faceted

Finish
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Culet: None

Clarity Grade: VS2

Graining: Nil (don''t know what this is?)

Color Grade: H

Florescence: None

Comments:
"EXCELLENT IDEAL CUT"- The quality of the cut of this diamond achieves Excellence in symmetry
and proportions, thus obtaining the optimal dispersion of light and brilliance. - 8 HEARTS & 8 ARROWS.

I entered the proportions in HCA:
Light Return: Excellent
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Excellent
Spread: : Very Good
HCA - .9

So is this a great diamond that is just a lower price because of the EGL Cert or am I way off here??
