I went to my local Jeweler and we narrowed down several diamonds to the one below. They are asking $12.6 for the diamond. Is that a fair price?

GIA Report

Shape: Round
Carat Weight: 1.71
Cut: PREFERRED
Color: I
Clarity: VS2
Certificate: GIA
Depth %: 60
Table %: 58
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 7.77*7.83*4.68
Crown: 32
Pavillion: 41.2

From the report, there are only a very few inclusions at the 9 o''clock and 12 position, near the edge of the picture.

The attachment didn't attached.

Numbers look good to me. Any IS image available?

EDT:
Price looks good. But not that the diamond is cut more for light return, so it likely have less color light return compared to more balance near tolk cuts.

Numbers look great. Would love to see an IS. I am curious, I have never seen GIA say relative to the cut as Preferred?? Is that new??

Sorry, the GIA rates the cut as Excellent.

What is "IS"?

I''ve attached an ASET image. Does this look good?

It looks ok, hard to tell as it could be the photography set up so I will say not the best I have seen but has potential. The diamond isn't cut to the very highest standards, more what we call a nice make for cut, if you aren't looking for the absolute best cut you can get then this one could be a contender.

Often times with poor quality ASETs I look at the Idealscope image as well and between the two you can factor out a diamond flaw from the photography flaws.
So if you post the Idealscope as well I think you would get a more concrete answer.
Just from the ASET the symmetry looks good so this definitely won''t be a bad diamond, but if you want to know if it will be a top performer than we would like to see the IS.
